Who am I?

Born and raised around Toronto, Canada. Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour. Planned—and was on track—to enter a Clinical Psychology doctoral program in America. Became disillusioned with academia due to institutional constraints. Pivoted after graduation and self-learned Mandarin Chinese during lockdown. Applied to a dual master’s degree program in international business. Accepted that program offer. Lived in three continents over a year. Learned so much yet know so little. Graduated and working in Toronto as a strategy consultant to Canada’s healthcare leaders at Invictus Analytics + Strategy. Hope to continue living a life filled with interesting food, places, and people. Overall, deeply fortunate and grateful.

What are my interests?

If you would ever like to chat, here are a few places to start the conversation

  • Language learning—especially about Chinese and immersion learning as a methodology
  • Non-glamour travel; lesser-known places and spontaneous conversations with locals are my thing
  • Highly effective non-profits and social enterprises (Effective Altruism w/o the AI fixation)
  • (Business) strategy; understanding strategy puts an efficiency multiple on the solving of problems all throughout life
  • Human history, although I am very much ignorant and working to correct that
  • Relationships; I want to learn how to be a world-class partner to the one I love
  • Health and fitness—e.g., weight lifting, intermittent fasting, keto, sleep optimization, etc.
  • Private equity; I find the strategy and value creation sides of PE to be fascinating
  • Macro systems thinking; a bit general, but I enjoy thinking about how important things work
  • Honestly, anything… if you’re knowledgable and passionate about something, I am here to listen and learn
