What is this?

This is a ‘Now’ page. What differentiates a ‘Now’ page from an ‘About’ page is that it focuses on the present as opposed to the past. Below you will find an overview of where I am and what I am doing. This page will be updated whenever there is a meaningful change to my life; all previous content will be archived as a blog post.

Where am I?

I am currently living in Singapore, and the country is nothing short of miraculous. What I have found most fascinating, though, is how there exists everywhere a sort of duality. You can eat street food on plastic stools while surrounded by skyscrapers; you can walk about a cutting-edge athletic facility and cross paths with a wild rooster. Singapore is a peninsular enigma, and I love that about it. Feel free to check out some of my not-so-professional photos below.

What am I doing?

I am currently on an exchange term at the national university here in Singapore. This is the final semester of my master’s degree, and so I am both studying and completing a summative business project with a large tech company helping them identify opportunities in the South-East Asian direct-to-consumer e-commerce market. Aside from school, some other constants are the work that I do in pro bono consulting and the non-profit sector.

Really, though, more than anything, I am focused on learning—and learning in a broad sense. This website, my reading project, and my goal of speaking to one new and interesting person each week are attempts at countering my default state of ignorance. If I can take the next several months and make a few unknown-unknowns a little less unknown, I will have succeeded.
